From Headquarters to Global Ministry Center: Move Update

The employees and functions of Nazarene Headquarters in Kansas City will be moving to the new Global Ministry of the Church of the Nazarene in Lenexa, Kansas, during September 11-13. In order to prepare for packing and transition, some Headquarters functions will begin to be unavailable in advance of those dates.

Baby girl’s health restored in South America

While distributing aid after the flooding in Ecuador this spring, a Nazarene worker encountered a baby girl who was very sick from a birth defect. A Nazarene doctor contacted surgeons in Quito, Ecuador, and was able to get her into surgery, free of charge. (Slideshow)

English teachers needed in Cheonan City, South Korea

Korea Nazarene University has been appointed by Cheonan City, South Korea, to recruit English teachers who teach at elementary, middle, and high schools. KNU is now looking for college graduates who are evangelical Christians to teach the students with the love of God at various schools in Cheonan City.

Asia-Pacific media seminar highlights the art of worship

World Mission Communications-Asia-Pacific conducted a seminar on the use of audio-visual media in worship Saturday, August 17, at the regional communication center in Manila, Philippines. One focus of the seminar was to train the participants using only free or open-source software so churches with limited resources would be able to put the training into practice.

Renowned MAC Region educator William Dannemann passes away

William Dannemann, founder of a Nazarene school in San Juan Chamelco, Guatemala, and former director of the Nazarene Biblical Institute in Coban, Guatemala, died of a heart attack on August 17. He was 92.

Come to the Fire council calls for prayer partners

The Come to the Fire council recently met in Kansas City to make plans for the women's conference that will be held October 9-11 at College Church of the Nazarene in Olathe, Kansas. Currently, women from 24 states have registered and represent 16 denominations and several non-denominational churches.

NTS, YouthFront hold summer hybrid course in youth spirituality and formation in experiential environment

This summer, Nazarene Theological Seminary partnered with YouthFront to offer an intensive class in youth spirituality. The class—Youth Spirituality and Formation in Experiential Environments—incorporated a one week intensive at YouthFront's South Camp, and four weeks of online reflection to allow students an opportunity to apply their new knowledge in their own ministry setting.
